Commercial Kitchen boosted by buzz of face-to-face business

The organisers of Commercial Kitchen and its sister exhibitions Casual Dining and Lunch! said the turnout to its events last week have put faith back into face-to-face business as it also revealed they would return on 14-15 September next year. 

All three trade shows ran simultaneously over two days at the ExCeL London, with food, drink and equipment buyers visiting in their thousands.

Commercial Kitchen and Casual Dining recorded in excess of 4,000 visitors each, while Lunch! had more than 5,500 people through the doors.

Diversified’s group event director, Chris Brazier, said it was delighted that the industry could come together again after the restrictions upon it over the last 18 months.

“We’re so delighted to see that the industry has returned to face-to-face trade events in no uncertain terms. The brilliant exhibitors were back, the buyers were back and the buzz was back at our biggest show yet.

“We won’t rest on our laurels and have already started preparing for an even better Lunch!, Casual Dining and Commercial Kitchen in 2022.”

As well as the opportunity to see the latest catering equipment and F&B products firsthand, visitors had the chance to hear from some of the sector’s big-hitters during the keynote speaker sessions.

Greggs CEO Roger Whiteside, Costa managing director Neil Lake, Burger King CEO Alasdair Murdoch, Azzurri Group CEO Steve Holmes and chefs Atul Kochhar, Sat Bains and Cyrus Todiwala all took to the stage to discuss the most pressing issues facing their businesses.
