Last week the Combico UK training team visited Derbyshire to take part in the Logic Certification Annual Forum.

Held at the IGEM Meeting and Conference Centre in Kegworth, the forum is run by the Logic certification body which issues certifications in electrics, gas, energy efficiency and other disciplines.

Combico UK is certified by Logic Certification to run courses and carry out assessments and as a training specialist, the firm states it is committed to ensuring that its technical training is up to speed with all technical developments in the industry and changing government legislation.

At last week’s forum, First Choice Group’s training arm received updates and continuing professional development on the new BS7671:2018, which is the 18th edition wiring regulation. As well as this, the team also received news and developments of Logic’s MLP (managed learning programmes) for new gas entrants, plus more technical updates.

Martin Dagnall, Combico technical training manager, said: “We had a fantastic day at the forum – keeping up to date with the latest regulations and technical developments is always so important. I would like to say a big thank you to all of the Logic team who are a pleasure to work with.”

Combico UK operates out of state-of-the-art training facilities within First Choice’s Cannock headquarters, delivering a range of training courses, including ACS gas, electrical and refrigeration.

The specialist team can offer training in fully functional, professional kitchens, thanks to being a partner of key equipment manufacturers including Rational and MKN. These kitchens utilise the manufacturer’s own equipment, whilst harnessing what is said to be the latest in education technology.
