WMF has unveiled its new-generation 8000S and billed it as the automatic bean to cup machine that will take it in a “new direction”.
The German manufacturer, which serves the UK from its office in Middlesex, says the system has been constructed to deliver the sort of consistency that high throughput operators are crying out for.
Designed to be as eye-catching as it is functional, the WMF 8000S is a compact machine that is just 390mm wide but features hot and cold drinks capability and complete flexibility for the operator. It is perfectly suited to self-service, with an 8-inch LCD MMI touch screen interface.
“The launch of the 8000S takes WMF in a new direction, whilst remaining true to our values of great design, superior build quality, functionality and innovation,” declared WMF’s UK managing director, Florian Lehmann.
“Our focus has always been on delivering benefits to the operator to enhance their business and this new generation of automatic bean to cup coffee machine boasts a range of features that underline this objective.”
The WMF 8000S has four hoppers and if three of the four contain coffee (the fourth being chocolate), it enables the ability to blend different types of coffee together.
The system features an improved brewer for greater drinks capacity, high performance grinders with ultra fine adjustments for superior drink quality and three steam options for the utmost in flexibility.
It also contains a built-in sensor that monitors the milk temperature so that if it becomes too warm, the electronic pinch valve adjusts the milk feed accordingly to ensure the best quality milk foam. The milk temperature is kept constant and certain types of drinks can even be blocked until the milk is cool enough.
