Coffee kit import agreement for East Midlands firm

East Midlands firm GEM Vending has been awarded the UK distribution rights for Keurig, a single-cup brewing system that promises to recreate the coffee house experience.

Several firms have already trialled the Keurig system and now GEM aims to roll it out to independent retailers and SMEs that want to provide a quality beverage offering.

North America-based Keurig selected GEM Vending for its extensive reach into the SME market, as well as its commitment to customer service and support for sustainable products.

The deal is worth £1m over five years and could create several jobs for the Langley Mill-based company.

Steven Gallagher, managing director of GEM Vending, said: “The partnership with Keurig builds on our commitment to providing the best possible drink and snack options to as wide a market as possible. Independent retailers and people running small companies have told us what a difference something so simple can make to the workplace.”
