However, it cautioned that the increase in health issues due to consumption of fast food and competition from fine dining and quick service restaurants (QSRs) could hinder the market growth. Based on product type, the burger/sandwich segment accounted for nearly one-fourth of the global cloud kitchen market in 2019, and is expected to maintain its lead status in terms of revenue throughout the forecast period, according to the report. This is due to the convenience and ease of availability, less preparation time, and hectic lifestyle of the consumers in developed as well as emerging countries. However, seafood is estimated to register the highest CAGR of 15.1% from 2021 to 2027.

Based on type, the independent cloud kitchen segment is claimed to have contributed to the highest market share with around two-thirds of the global cloud kitchen market in 2019, and is estimated to maintain its leadership position during the forecast period.
