British warewashing manufacturer Classeq has confirmed that it has undergone a strategic review in the past 12 months to position the company strongly for the future.

As part of this review, the company has committed significant investment to the development and support of its core warewashing range, in order to further grow its presence as a partner to distributors and operators in hospitality.

Throughout the Covid-pandemic, there has been no loss of service. Classeq’s sales teams have been available, working hard to maintain and build relationships with distributors and looking to support them every step of the way. Service engineers have remained on call, implementing safe working practices to visit sites and keep customers machines running smoothly, where needed.

The company prides itself on the strength of its relationships and the service it delivers to its distribution network. MD Andy Salter said: “Warewashing is 100% at the heart of Classeq’s operation – we ‘live and breathe it’; it’s where we excel.

“We want our customers, distributors, and partners to know we’re here. We’re in good shape, and we’re ready to help them get back to business.”

Salter reinforced that the challenges of Brexit had already prepared the company for a difficult year and whilst no-one could have predicted or foreseen the devastation of the Covid outbreak, his team took the opportunity to review its market proposition, recognising the outbreak as a further catalyst for change: “As part of our review, we took some wide-ranging decisions to strengthen our commitment and support to our customers’ warewashing needs.

“This includes our dedicated and extremely knowledgeable sales team being available to work with our customers, new and old, listening to their needs and understanding what is important to them as we all move towards a new future.

“To that end, we have been working through the pandemic to ensure we can continue to build on our reputation of having a world class, market-leading product that is readily available through our dynamic national distribution network, backed up by service excellence.

“Our sales and service teams are strongly supported by our state-of-the-art production facilities in the UK, which have been pivotal in navigating Brexit successfully – our machines are produced here, and are ready to go.”

Salter emphasised that Classeq’s first priority has been safety for all – whether for his own team, or the protection of customers: “The last year has been about ‘people, product, and development’.  With our priority being ‘safety first’ for our team and customers, we put measures in place to ensure total protection across every element of production and maintenance.

“This protection has extended to everything we do and we have been proactive during the devastating fall in demand caused by the close down of the hospitality industry, using that time wisely to ensure that this safety aspect extends into the future.

“All our machines have undergone micro-biological testing to reassure our customers, (who are understandably concerned around levels of cleanliness), that Classeq machines leave every utensil, glassware and plate scrupulously clean.

“And we are proud to confirm that all our warewashers meet the highest European standards of cleanliness and have been certified as meeting the tough DINSPeC10534-2012-8 specifications. This is a great testament to the strength and effectiveness of our Classeq machines.”

Talking of the future, Salter said: “We believe the ‘bounce-back’ will be strong across our customers, with demand rising quickly in hospitality once doors are unlocked.

“We have been working to ensure that we are fully prepared for the season to start with machines and equipment at the ready for next day delivery to those who need it.”

He concluded: “The strategic refinement of our product range turns our attention back to what we do best. We provide British-manufactured, simple, and robust, glass and dishwashers to professional catering outfits across the world.

“From a business, social and personal standpoint we can’t wait to see the hospitality industry thriving again.

“With a positive outlook on the future, we’re here to ensure well supported pubs, restaurants and hotels can always be confident they have a clean plate and glass for their customers.”
