Chris Giles has joined FEM as regional sales manager. He will be working with dealer partners in the southern region to identify new customers, as well as running demo days and helping with training.
FEM sales director Michael Inwood said: “I am really delighted that Chris will be joining us. He will be taking over from our longest serving salesmen, Martin Shaw, when he retires later this year.
“Martin and I feel like we have found the right man to succeed him in Chris. He has over 20 years of experience within the hospitality sector, he has worked for manufacturers and dealers, and has sold products from both the heavier and lighter ends of our equipment portfolio. He has a great personality and attitude and I am sure he will really add value for our customers.”
During Giles’ career, he spent 4 years as a national account manager at Bidfood, while before that he was commercial manager at Aggora for 2 years, and was with Electrolux Professional as sales manager for 4 years. This has given him experience of working with all types of customers, including the NHS and some of the largest names in contract catering.
He said: “FEM has a great reputation, with excellent products and first class service. I am excited to be joining the company, and look forward to continuing the excellent work FEM does.
“The past 18 months have been difficult for many businesses, but I am eager to move ahead and work with some great dealers to help grow the region to pre-pandemic figures, and more.”
