Chefs accept microwave liner into their club

Cavity Protections Systems’ Microsave’ liner has gained acceptance into the Craft Guild of Chefs’ Product Endorsement Scheme as an ‘approved product’.

The liner, which can be removed, washed at the end of service and replaced for repeated use, was tested by a number of chefs who agreed it cut down cleaning time and would help extend the useful life of their microwave ovens.

One chef said: “The Microsave will definitely save down time. Most breakdowns I have experienced with microwaves are due to human-related faults caused by food particles burning.”

Cavity Protection Systems sells the device through a large number of national and local catering equipment distributors.

Managing director, Pat Bray, said the product is designed to out-last the average commercial microwave oven, and with a price tag less than the typical cost of a repair.

“We have many years of expertise in microwave ovens and see the regularity of breakdowns caused by thorough cleaning procedures not being adhered to,” he commented. “The Microsave has been well-received by the industry for many years and to have the endorsement of the Craft Guild of Chefs makes us very proud indeed.”
