ChefQuip's planetary mixers will now be branded as Sparmixer.

After 24 years of supplying planetary-action food mixers to the UK market, ChefQuip is announcing its association with Sparmixer International in order to add clarity to the country of origin of its products.

ChefQuip’s technical manager Paul Bradley commented: “At a time when there is so much catering equipment being imported into the UK and nobody knowing where it has come from originally, we felt this was an important step for us and for our customers.”

ChefQuip has been supplying its mixers, which are manufactured by Sparmixer International in Taiwan, for 20 years in the UK through their dealer network, under a variety of brands such as Lockhart, Metcalfe, 3663 and Nisbets. However, the supply will now be available from ChefQuip directly, with all mixers being branded as Sparmixer to avoid any confusion for dealers and operators.

Bradley added: “There is no change to the quality of the manufacturing or to the availability of the machines our customers have come to know and rely on. The changes just mean there is more transparency throughout the supply chain, from origin to operator.”

To mark the consolidated supply and strengthened partnership, ChefQuip and Sparmixer also have plans to launch new machines in 2021 and provide longer guarantees, as well as bringing in a price decrease on the SP-200 20-litre mixer.
