Core head chef Jonny Bone told Charvet Chef Talk how suppliers helped the restaurant achieve 3 Michelin stars.

Cooking suite manufacturer Charvet has reported its first Chef Talk online event generated much industry discussion.

A poll of chefs attending saw 95% say yes to the question: “Do you feel it is important to have a Minister of Hospitality?”

The poll was part of an online interview and discussion with Jonny Bone, head chef at Core by Clare Smyth in Notting Hill, hosted by Charvet.

The chefs also voted for the solid top as their favourite bit of kit, followed by a plancha. Other results of the polls will be shared via Charvet over the coming weeks.

Viewers from all over the UK found out what makes the head chef of the three-Michelin-starred Core tick and how he sees the future of the restaurant business. Bone talked about dealing with lockdown, training and motivating the team and how suppliers contributed to helping Core achieve 3 Michelin stars.

Now, he wants to “step it up” and get to the “next level of knowledge – exciting times are ahead.”
