CESA has been handed a £10,000 cheque by UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) to help the British catering equipment sector make an impact at one of Asia’s leading hospitality shows.
The funds will be used to assist British companies make the most of their participation in Food and Hotel Asia (FHA), which takes place in Singapore in April 2014.
The investment comes on top of the £25,000 worth of grants that are currently available to companies planning to exhibit in the Great Britain Pavilion. CESA says there are 10 grants in total, each to the value of £2,500.
FHA is expected to attract more than 64,000 trade visitors from 100 countries, as well as 2,800 exhibitors, split between nine halls.
“Participation in the Great Britain Pavilion is open to both CESA members and non-members,” said Nick Oryino, chair of CESA. “However, CESA members enjoy priority booking and a waiver of the £250 reservation fee. Space is limited, so interested companies should contact us as soon as possible.”
The final deadline for bookings is 23 December 2013, while the grants are available on a first come, first served basis.
Stand space in the Great Britain Pavilion costs £541 per square metre, including construction, a lockable counter, shelving, carpeting, a name board, stand lighting and power, and a table and chairs.
