Certa Cooking Equipment has added to its portfolio by agreeing a deal to become the UK partner for the whole Adventys series of induction cooking equipment.
The agreement, which came into force on 1 July, will see Certa supplying the full range of the French brand’s equipment, with more than 60 items in total, including table-top and heavy duty cooking, buffet solutions, bespoke suites and drop-in induction units.
Adventys export manager Mathilde Perot commented: “We were really impressed by the knowledge of the UK equipment sector demonstrated by the team at Certa Cooking Equipment.
“We feel that the Adventys brand will be in safe hands and that it is ideally positioned to build on the success of the brand in the UK.”
Milton Keynes-based supplier Grande Cuisine has acted as the UK agent for Adventys since 2013. Previously it sold the full range of the brand’s equipment, but will now concentrate purely on the manufacturer’s tabletop, plug and play products.
Grande Cuisine director, Steve Hobbs, commented: “The purpose of engaging with Certa is to present 100% of the Adventys portfolio to the UK market and we fully understand this wish, approach and desire for Adventys to build on its strong business base which we have helped establish over the last 5 years or so in the UK. We have enjoyed a very successful and mutually beneficial partnership with Adventys.
“However, the two businesses have different objectives and strategy plans and the decision reached gives both parties the opportunity to develop and grow. We leave the brand able to build its UK business based on the solid foundations that we have created and will of course honour all outstanding orders, as well as supporting the installation of products already sold in the UK.”
Certa Cooking Equipment’s sister division, Certa Service, will also be available to help existing Adventys customers. Certa Cooking Equipment director Dan Loria detailed: “Certa Service will be glad to support any existing warranties that are out in the marketplace with Adventys’ full support to ensure a smooth transition.”
Regarding the appliances themselves, he added: “Adventys is synonymous with induction innovation thanks to products such as Induc-Stone and Induc-NoLimit and we are delighted to have been offered the opportunity to represent such a well-respected brand here in the UK.
“We look forward to growing the business in partnership with the dealer network and feel that the Adventys brand will sit very nicely alongside the other companies that we represent: Eloma, OEM and Aurea.”
Looking forward, Loria revealed: “We have a number of exciting plans for the brand: as well as extending the range of Adventys equipment available in the UK, stockholding will be increased thanks to the on-site warehouse facilities of Certa Logistics and we will also be offering to manufacture ‘own label’ products at the Adventys factory.
“Furthermore, thanks to the capability of our in-house service division, Certa Service, the levels of support will be improved and we will be able to provide either ‘on-site’ or ‘collect and replace’ repairs so that end users are never without a vital piece of equipment.”
