Catering equipment buying consortium Cedabond has taken the decision to postpone its annual conference due to the continuing threat of Covid-19.
The event was due to be held alongside the also-postponed CEDA Conference at The Majestic Hotel in Harrogate on 23-24 April.
This includes the Cedabond awards, the members’ AGM and the suppliers meeting, all of which were scheduled to be part of the conference. A new date for the event, most probably in the Autumn, will be announced in due course.
Cedabond chairman and CEO, Phil Martin said: “It is already apparent that the hospitality sector is amongst the worst hit by Covid-19, due to widespread pub and restaurant closures, and that many equipment dealers and suppliers will be under pressure, but going ahead with the conference would have risked the health of all concerned.
“However, the Cedabond management team are still working, albeit remotely, and remain on hand to offer help and advice to any supplier or member company that needs it during the current crisis.”
Those who have booked and paid to attend the event can be reimbursed and credit notes can be issued for all invoices raised but not yet paid. Alternatively, bookings can remain if individuals wish to attend the rescheduled event later in the year.
