Cedabond invited several of its dealer members to attend a 2-day event run by Middleby UK at the supplier’s offices in Golborne, near Wigan.
Feedback on the event, which covered products from Middleby UK companies including Pitco, Turbochef, Blodgett and Houno, was universally positive, prompting talk of a repeat in July.
Middleby UK’s sister companies Lincat, Britannia and IMC were also represented, and IMC’s waste station demonstration was reportedly particularly well received on both days.
Dentons Catering Equipment’s area sales manager Daniel Collumbell said: “We were impressed with the size of the showroom and the amount of equipment on view.
“The presentations on each range of equipment were very detailed, and the members of the Middleby team were extremely knowledgeable about their products.”
JDS Catering Equipment’s Nigel Quince commented: “I really enjoyed the visit and now understand more about the Middleby Group of companies.
“And I believe that I left with a much better understanding of the Middleby Group’s wide array of products.”
While PKL Group procurement manager, John Peck, observed: “The Houno ‘experience’ worked really well and I thought it was an excellent way of showcasing the ovens.”
Cedabond’s commercial director, Mark Kendall, concluded: “Over the last 10 years we have enjoyed huge success with our heavy equipment forums, but events like this, where the focus is on one manufacturer, take the format to the next level as they give the supplier the chance to offer dealers a really immersive experience and a ‘deep dive’ into their equipment portfolio.”
