Catering equipment buying group Cedabond crowned its 40th anniversary celebrations with an official dinner last night during its Product Awareness Forum at Whittlebury Hall in Northamptonshire.

Around 180 guests were present for the culmination of the night: the presentation of an array of awards recognising companies who have supported Cedabond through its 40-year history.

The first award was presented to Cedabond accountants Haines Watts, a company which has been an important part of the buying consortium’s team since day one.

Next up was the award for the first supplier to sign up back in 1977. The accolade was presented to Hobart UK, still a supporter today.

A further award recognising loyalty over many years was presented to Mercury Distribution in the Channel Isles, a company that joined Cedabond in 1977 under the guise of Burbridge Ltd.

The final award of the evening was presented to commercial kitchen specialist Roland Allen, a Cedabond founder member and a company on the threshold of celebrating 60 years in business in its own right in 2018.

Presenting the awards, chairman and executive director of Cedabond Phil Martin commented: “Tonight, on our 40th anniversary, it gives me great pleasure to personally thank all of you who have played such an important role in the success of Cedabond over the years.

“Without you, Cedabond would not have become the force it is today. Your enormous effort and contribution to the business has been a driving force in our achievements and we look forward to many more years working together.”
