At CEDA’s 2017 Conference, Rational, Mechline and Meiko shared the spoils of the suppliers awards.

CEDA has announced the shortlisted companies for its 2018 Supplier Awards. The winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner at the CEDA Conference taking place on 26-27 April at St George’s Park, Burton-upon-Trent.

The awards recognise those companies that have provided outstanding service to CEDA members and are in three categories, Heavy Equipment; Light Equipment, Accessories and Spares; and Outstanding Customer Service.

These categories are voted on by the association’s members in the run up to the awards night, with each member being asked to list their top three suppliers in each category.

This year’s nominations are:

Heavy Equipment: Maidaid Halcyon, Meiko UK, Rational UK

Light Equipment, Accessories and Spares: First Choice Catering Spares, Mechline Developments, Metcalfe

Outstanding Customer Service: Maidaid Halcyon, Meiko UK, Rational UK

Adam Mason, CEDA’s director general, commented: “Making the final shortlist should mean a great deal as they are voted on by their customer base. They are testament to the supply chain relationships that we nurture at CEDA and huge congratulations them all.”

The night before, the association will be hosting the CEDA networking and Cedabond Awards dinner.

This is once again bringing together UK chef organisations to devise, produce and deliver a three course meal. This year the dinner will feature The Craft Guild of Chefs and The Master Chefs of Great Britain.

Lee Maycock, chair of The Craft Guild of Chefs commented; “We’re delighted to return to the CEDA Conference for the third year to join the celebrations and showcase our talents. This year for the first time we will be joined by The Master Chefs of Great Britain and are looking forward to working closely with them.”

The evening provides informal networking opportunities for delegates and raises funds for this year’s cause, Jeff’s Way.

Mason added: “Last year’s Thursday night dinner was superb and we are really looking forward to strengthening our relationship with the Craft Guild and building a new one with The Master Chefs of Great Britain. The evening is always fun with our fundraising game and the Cedabond Awards and the CEDA family and our guests always enjoy great food. I’ve seen the menu and I think we are in for a treat!”
