CEDA’s latest member survey has revealed some positive results for the UK catering equipment industry.
Sales enquiries from the private sector are reportedly performing well for many, with nearly 56% of members detailing better levels of enquires in the last quarter ending in April compared to the previous quarter to January.
Just over 37% of respondents reported enquiries were at the same level for the consecutive quarters, with less than 7% saying levels were worse.
CEDA director general Adam Mason commented: “Enquires taken from private sector clients have risen quite sharply for a lot of our members since January and this is encouraging news given factors like political and economic uncertainty in the UK, Europe and around the world.
“We understand that there are many challenges in the foodservice economy at the moment and we are pleased able to show positive levels of enquires for CEDA members and also to be supporting them in developing their businesses, and our reach to operators, with CEDA’s new branding and strong marketing support planned for the rest of 2017 and beyond.”
