CEDA members dig deep for charity

CEDA has written out cheques totalling more than £9,000 to two charities following the recent fundraising efforts of its members.

The sum was raised during a raffle at the association’s 2013 annual conference and at the recent Catering Equipment Industry Golf Day.

Hospitality Action and the Springboard Charity will benefit from the cash that was donated.

Both charities were chosen by CEDA’s former chairman Iain Munro, who recently passed the baton onto Vision’s Jack Sharkey.

“It has been a long tradition for the CEDA chairman to choose a charity to benefit from our fundraising at the annual conference,” said Munro.

“As someone who started his working life in the hotel business before moving into the catering equipment industry I wanted to support charities that work to help people with the entire hospitality industry. I am delighted that we have raised so much money and know that the two charities will put it to good use.”
