CEDA Conference to host Mitchells & Butlers chief talk

Bob Ivell will be discussing his views on the foodservice industry at this year’s CEDA Conference.

The 2017 CEDA Conference’s ‘Big Interview’ is with non-executive chairman of Mitchells & Butlers, Bob Ivell.

He will be interviewed by the event’s Business Day host Peter Martin from CGA Peach and will be discussing his views on foodservice, hospitality and the equipment and services they need.

As well as being chairman of Mitchells & Butlers, Ivell is chairman of Carpetright. He is also president of the Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers and a non-executive director of Charles Wells Limited.

CEDA director general Adam Mason commented: “I’m delighted that we have Bob coming to the CEDA Business Day on 31 March as he has such an extensive and varied career in hospitality and foodservice at the highest level.

“I’m sure his experience and insights will be useful to those attending as we go through a continued period of global economic and political change. His presidency of the ALMR also fits perfectly with the ‘Excellence by Association’ theme.”

Ivell’s previous career includes being a senior independent director of Britvic and the AGA Rangemaster Group. Furthermore, he was a board director of S&N plus chairman and MD of its Scottish & Newcastle retail division.

Additionally, he was previously chairman of David Lloyd Leisure, Park Resorts and was MD of Beefeater Restaurants.

This year’s CEDA Conference will take place on 30-31 March at the Heythrop Park Resort in Chipping Norton.
