CEDA has appointed a specialist marketing agency to support its brand awareness and communication efforts in the market.
Media Consulta (UK), the British arm of German communications firm Media Consulta, will assist CEDA with its marketing activities from its office in London.
Earlier this year CEDA brought its marketing function back in house from a third party agency but said it would source “dedicated outside support” when required.
Media Consulta will provide CEDA with advice and hands-on support for CEDA, covering PR, print and digital advertising, social media activity and one-on-one advice to members.
Matt Rowlands, who is heading Media Consulta UK and worked with CEDA at its previous agency, said the first goal would be to reinforce the expertise of CEDA’s members.
“We will help to raise awareness of CEDA as ‘the go to’ for anyone looking for first class support in catering equipment planning, equipment specification, project management, installation, technical advice and after-sales support,” he said.
“Media Consulta has a team experienced in business to business integrated communications with dedicated teams looking after PR, digital communications, advertising, event planning and logistics etc. One of our first projects has been to revise the CEDA corporate ads with a refreshed design and the new key messaging.”
Vita Whitaker, deputy chairman and marketing portfolio holder at CEDA, added: “We took stock of our marketing communications and spend in 2011/2012 and decided to rethink what we are doing and look for new agency support. CEDA had worked with Matt before and his new role with media consulta allows him to rekindle the successful working relationship we had.
Whitaker said members had been given “a taste” of CEDA’s 2013 marketing plans at its recent annual conference in St Andrews and said distributors could learn more by visiting its website.
