CEDA backs Peter Hansen’s charity legacy

Following the sad and untimely death of Peter Hansen (aged 56) on 10 January, his family have launched a JustGiving webpage to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

The MD of Hansens Kitchen Equipment, Hansen was a supporter of CEDA since his teenage years and so the association is backing this fundraising effort.

CEDA will donate half of its charity fundraising total from the annual conference on 23 and 24 April and will include a link to the Peter Hansen JustGiving page on its new website.

The remaining funds raised during the CEDA 2015 Conference will be donated to Hospitality Action.

Hansen’s funeral took place on 28 January. Peter Kay, CEDA director of technical support, who knew Hansen well, said: “The funeral was very well attended by family, friends and the industry. CEDA was represented by myself and seven former CEDA chairman. It demonstrates both how highly Peter was regarded and the impact of his involvement in CEDA over many years.”
