Commercial Catering Spares (CCS) has reinforced its ties with Dawson by putting its team through a product training programme involving the supplier’s core brands.
A number of the Lancashire-based firm’s technical team received training on Lainox, Comenda and Mareno equipment to ensure they are able to give expert advice to customers when called upon.
CCS and Dawson have been working together for the best part of a decade but took their relationship a step further last year when they officially signed a ‘Spares Parts Partnership’.
As well as carrying spares, CCS now holds an extensive database of information on Dawson’s products, much of which is also available online.
Jonathan Booth, managing director of CCS, insists that working closely with suppliers is central to its ethos.
“Offering a reliable next day service on stocked parts is important to our customers, but we feel it is the additional advice and technical support that we can offer which sets us apart,” he said.
In addition to Dawson, CCS provides spare parts services for manufacturers such as Casta, Electrolux and Fagor.
The company is currently in the process of moving into new premises next door to its current location to enable it to hold a greater selection of OEM spare parts.
CCS delivers all over the country, and recently announced that it was increasing its standard carriage charge for next day delivery from £8.50 to £9.
It said it had tried to avoid passing the increase onto customers for as long as possible, but claimed the charge “still keeps us cheaper than most other suppliers”.
