C&C Catering Equipment’s managing director Peter Kitchin has hailed his team’s efforts after clinching a special award from the FCSI at the recent CEDA conference.
C&C picked up the award for ‘excellence in project management’ for its contribution to the new £50m Student Hub building at Manchester Metropolitan University.
And Kitchin says the accolade is testimony to the endeavours of the Chester-based firm’s project staff.
“Having our commercial kitchen project expertise recognised at the CEDA industry awards is always a great boost for the company,” he said. “We will continue to deliver top level projects large and small and I thank my team for their hard work and dedication.”
C&C worked with foodservice design consultants Foodesco on the MMU project, which involved building and implementing a kitchen and cafe now used by 5,000 students and 250 staff.
C&C’s project manager Keith Hartharn also had reason to celebrate at last week’s awards ceremony after gaining a Certificate of Merit.
The judges commended the role he played in both the MMU project and another large installation at Warwickshire County Cricket club’s new Edgbaston Pavilion Stand.
