CCE sees results with 'try before you buy'


CCE Group is offering prospective customers the option to ‘try before you buy’ so that they can test the kit for a set period before deciding whether to purchase it.

The Essex-based company said it has introduced the policy to improve support for chefs wanting to evaluate equipment they may not have used before.

The company recently opened a demonstration kitchen at its HQ, but says the ‘try before you buy’ option is extremely important as it means that operators can sample equipment in their own environment and with their own menu.

“Try before you buy is proving to be very popular in today’s fast-paced kitchen,” said managing director Ray Costelloe.

“CCE Group has loaned induction hobs, Thermodynes, Adande, Frima and Irinox for a trial period in many restaurants and the results have been great. Chefs can see the equipment in use and fully appreciate what a vital piece of kit it is, and what a huge difference it makes to their service.”

CCE focuses on working with manufacturers that it believes are market leaders in their respective categories, which is why it is confident that customers that trial a piece of equipment will ultimately end up specifying it.

It says that top chefs that have taken advantage of the offer include Steve Munkley, executive chef of The Royal Garden Hotel and Warren Geraghty, executive head chef from Galvin Restaurants.
