CCE buoyed by response to Irinox kit trial

Essex-based distributor CCE has revealed that its ‘try before you buy’ scheme is finding traction with end-users.

The firm organised a 1 month trial for an Irinox MF25-1 blast chiller at the Spencer House palace in London. According to CCE, the venue’s head chef Gareth Wilkinson and pastry chef Vince O’Toole agreed that being able to try a piece of equipment such as the Irinox before purchasing was brilliant for them – that way they could test the unit and its capabilities and functionality to ensure that it was suited to their cover and menu.

O’Toole reported he found the blast chiller useful for his sorbet and that “he loves having complete control over the consistency and level of freeze”. Wilkinson said he loves the fact that he can flash freeze meat fast and effectively and then move it in to the freezer, making way for the next batch.

Irinox MF25-1 technology is designed to allow operators to prepare food well in advance of when it is served, allowing them to plan work in the kitchen and make the most of the available time.

CCE stated: “Both Vincent and Gareth agreed that if they were unable to take advantage of our ‘try before you buy’ they would have found it quite hard to believe what the Irinox is actually capable of.”
