Chester-based distributor C&C Catering Equipment was presented with a Highly Commended award at this year’s High Sheriff’s Awards for Enterprise, held at Chester Racecourse in partnership with University of Chester.
Having been shortlisted for the Roberts Bakery Family Business Award of Excellence, C&C was highly commended in the competitive category.
The company is a leading name in the design, supply and install of commercial catering facilities throughout the UK, with projects ranging from local schools to household names in London, including Google, TfL, and Tate Modern.
The family business, founded by the father of current MD Peter Kitchin, has been trading uninterrupted for over 36 years. C&C employs family members as well as counting individuals in its team as family due to their dedication to the business. As a result of high staff retention, many of the team have been with the company for over 15 years, and many even more so.
MD Peter Kitchin commented: “It’s great to have been recognised as an excellent family business in Cheshire, and we’re proud to continue growing our awards and achievements as we move forward as a company. My dad, John Kitchin, set up the business in Cheshire over 36 years ago, so it’s great to have acknowledged and celebrated how far the company has come since then.”
