The café features Counterline chilled displays, counters and fabrication. It also boasts Foster refrigerators, Merrychef ‘Eikon’ ovens and Hobart warewashing equipment.

The choice of equipment is befitting to the hospital’s need for a ‘grab-and-go’ catering service for its often time-pressed staff, visitors and patients.

"We’re delighted to have completed another successful project with the National Health Service," said C&C project manager Keith Hartharn. “We’re pleased to hear the new café has been so well received and is already enjoying increased sales.”

Numerous chilled displays dominate a large section of the café allowing customers to easily view and access products whilst quick hot food options are also made available via the Merrychef ‘Eikon’ Ovens.

Mandy Cartmill from the Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust stated how successful the new Café Express has been to the hospital, with an "increase in footfall that far exceeded the Hospital & Catering team’s expectations".

Chester-based C&C boasts an extensive list of recent contracts including installations at Burberry HQ in London, Tate Modern, Macmillan Publishing, the Michelin starred Northcote Manor in the Ribble Valley, BT Sport at iCity in the Olympic Park, the Mandarin Oriental and Café Royal Hotels.
