C&C Catering Equipment’s technical director Ian Berrow is to head up the distributor’s sister business, C&C Catering Engineers, the company announced today.
The move will see Berrow back on familiar territory, as he was managing director of the company from 1998 to 2006 when it traded as Catering Engineers NW.
Berrow takes over the hotseat from Julie Dewar, who has left the organisation.
C&C said his return to the role heralded an “exciting new chapter” for the Flintshire company, which works with almost 1,000 clients nationwide and employs 15 staff.
Berrow began his career at C&C Catering Equipment 30 years ago as a service engineer. He worked his way up the ranks to help launch Catering Engineers NW.
Having worked closely with many of C&C Catering Engineers’ employees in the past, Berrow says he is delighted to be given the opportunity to continue the company’s development.
“I am very happy to be back at the firm I helped build and look forward to the opportunities this role will bring,” he said. “Increasing sales, actively seeking new employees and maintaining our reputation for quality and professionalism will be the key areas of focus over the coming months. It’s an exciting time to be re-joining the business and I’m thrilled to be a part of that.”
Peter Kitchin, managing director of C&C Catering Equipment, added: “Ian is a significant player at C&C and we are over the moon that he has accepted his new position with the same enthusiasm applied throughout his time here. I have no doubt that his extensive range of skills and experience will form the backdrop to the company’s future development and success, and we wish him well.”
