C&C Catering Equipment celebrated its 40th anniversary this month.

Chester-based kitchen design house C&C Catering Equipment has celebrated its 40th anniversary.

The business, founded in 1981 by John Kitchin, is now parent company to C&C Catering Engineers and C&C Catering Fabrications and employs approximately 65 members of the team across all three companies.

MD Peter Kitchin commented: “We are so pleased to be celebrating 40 years of uninterrupted trading and are all very proud of our family-run business. It’s been 40 years of doing great things together, and we would like to say a big thank you to all of our friends, clients and colleagues in the industry.”

Commercial manager, Matthew Kitchin, told Catering Insight in last week’s episode of video chat series Market Talk how the company marked the occasion on 15 August.

“We’re really lucky and grateful that we turned 40,” he said. “We had everyone in the office, and the partner of one of our directors Mark Roxburgh made an incredible cake. We had staff from the three companies come over if they could and we had a little bit of a celebration.

“To those who couldn’t come, the thanks got passed around. Nobody’s work has gone unnoticed and it’s down to the whole industry: our clients and our colleagues.

“Everyone knows how tough the last year and a half has been and we are looking forward to planning a party as and when we can.”

He further detailed how C&C is inviting the whole industry to help celebrate the milestone. On Twitter and LinkedIn, the company called for everyone to share their favourite memories of the business down the years, with a bottle of champagne on offer for some randomly-selected recipients.

Kitchin added: “We’ve had some great ones submitted so far, which is which has been brilliant.”
