C&C Catering Equipment has left its mark on the Olympic Park after installing the catering facilities for a visitor centre that forms a major part of the site’s transformation.
The scene of last summer’s sporting extravaganza is currently undergoing a £300m makeover as part of the Queen Elizabeth Park project.
C&C fitted new kitchen areas and servery counters at The North Hub Visitor’s Centre, which aims to attract up to nine million visitors a year from 2016. It also installed a community kitchen as part of the project, as the site will benefit residents of the new fledgling neighbourhood as well.
C&C has grown used to working in Stratford, having previously completed the catering facilities installation in the Velodrome, which was used for the cycling events.
Managing director, Peter Kitchin, said: “We are delighted to have been asked to work on the Olympic site and are very proud to be involved with this iconic project for London. It also demonstrates the far-reaching benefits of the Olympics to businesses across the UK.”
