A team from Blackpool-based distributor Caterware was recently invited by Liebherr to its manufacturing facility for commercial refrigeration in Lienz, Austria.
Liebherr’s commercial sales manager for foodservice Mark Cooke showed the group around, with the visit aiming to show the standards of research, design, manufacturing and commitment to protecting the environment that Liebherr invests in every commercial refrigeration appliance it manufactures.
Commenting on the tour of the production facilities in Lienz, Simon Mallett, senior contract manager for Caterware, said: “Our recent visit to the Lienz factory enabled myself and our business development manager Eamon Allen to see the Liebherr products’ quality first hand.
“We were also impressed by the controls and testing measures in place to ensure the quality of products leaving the factory. The Lienz facility has got to be located in one of the most picturesque locations for a factory in Europe and the whole of the Liebherr team made our stay a very enjoyable experience.”
Liebherr’s Cooke commented: “We aimed to connect Caterware’s excellence in the design, supply and installation of commercial foodservice kitchens and equipment with Liebherr’s own in the development and manufacture of quality professional refrigeration and freezer appliances.
“The guests from Caterware found out first-hand how Liebherr has the flexibility and technology to manufacture on demand some of the world’s best quality professional refrigeration and freezing solutions.
“They also got to understand Liebherr’s commitment to sustainable design and manufacturing from dedicated laboratory testing facilities focused on delivering energy efficiency for foodservice appliances and environmentally friendly powder coating through to heat recovery and maximum recycling.”
