CaterQuotes users can now bring design and quotation functions together.

CaterQuotes, the configure, price, quote (CPQ) software with online catalogue for the foodservice equipment and supplies industry, is previewing the CQ Designer Plug-In, its kitchen design solution for CQ subscribers, on stand 1629 at The Professional Kitchen Show at this week’s Hotelympia in London’s ExCel.

Subscribers to the CQ software will now be able to use the design plug-in to connect their quotation projects and product data to their existing AutoCAD platform – bringing design and quote together.

CQ users can populate commercial kitchen drawings with CAD blocks from the CQ catalogue to create designs including a specialised 3D functionality that is exclusive to the catering equipment industry.

Changes to either the quotation or the design will automatically notify the other. Customers can visualise their kitchens via what are said to be accurate, customised quotations and designs.

“Design is becoming a critical component of the quotation process,” said Paul Shaw, operations director at CaterQuotes. “Because the CQ Designer Plug-In is designed to combine CAD drawings with complete product specifications, it becomes a powerful combination that will further fuel the efficiency of CQ subscribers.”

In addition to the CQD Plug-In, CaterQuotes is showcasing a range of new catalogue and software features to Hotelympia visitors. These include a new, more visual catalogue interface design and CQ Analytics, a free built-in reporting tool to analyse quotation activity.
