Caterquip heads to Oyster Creek

Caterquip Ventilation has kitted out what used to be a sun shelter on the Western Esplanade in Southend, Essex.

As part of a £500,000 overhaul, the Warwick-based distributor helped to transform the worn and dilapidated shelter on the seafront into the Oyster Creek Kitchen.

The main cookline has been supplied by Blue Seal, part of the Ali Group of companies.

The new restaurant will seat around 100 people and comes equipped with a bar. It will serve Italian food and gelato, opening to the public on Saturday, 4 July.

Oyster Creek Kitchen is the brainchild of Antonia Waite, whose family also own the nearby Italian restaurant, Tomassi’s.
