Caterlink glides in at The Three Swans

When Bulldog Hotel group purchased the Three Swans in Market Harborough, they planned a large investment to bring the hotel up to the standards of the other six hotels in the group.

All are individually styled and proud to be the bearers of certificate of excellence from Trip Advisor, which is only awarded to the top 10%.

The Three Swans Hotel is a historic hotel dating back over 500 years so a sympathetic restoration of the hotel is taking place.
Acknowledging that the kitchen needed major refurbishment, the owners of Bulldog Group, Kevin Charity and Mark Porcher approached Euro Catering Equipment of Lutterworth to discuss their brief and prepare a quotation.

After consultation with both directors and executive chefs, Euro Catering came up with a design proposal for the layout of the kitchen to make ergonomic use of space available. The solution was Palux Topline equipment, a high end range manufactured in Germany well that is durabie and energy efficient.

The equipment has extremely low heat emissions, which means energy is used efficiently rather than being dispersed in the kitchen, allowing for a cooler working environment and less cost in extracting heat.

The Palux patented connection system gives the horizontal cookline a seamless top, which makes cleaning easy, but still allows equipment to be interchanged at a later date if required.

Staff training was provided by Euro Catering demonstration chef, Steve Lane along with Franco Sparano. Installation and commissioning was done by Caterlink UK, West Midlands.

Kevin Charity of Bulldog Hotel Group says:“We asked three companies to tender for the work, but we felt that the solution offered by Euro Catering was far superior in terms of layout, design and energy efficiency – we are delighted with the end result and our Chefs are already excited about using the equipment.”
