Chesterfield distributor Catering Projects has given a retail customer £25,000 worth of catering equipment for free.
The company has passed on the kit following a unique competition it ran during its participation at the Glee show in Birmingham last month.
It gave visitors the chance to walk away with its exhibition stand, featuring a brand new display counter and other equipment.
The prize was won by Mayfield Lavender, a lavender producer that had stopped by Catering Projects’ booth for advice on opening a coffee shop at its Surrey farm.
Catering Projects said its appearance at the show had been a “great success”, with plenty of leads to follow up on.
The show was attended by Catering Projects director, Mark Barnes, and garden centre design specialist, Amanda McGreavy, with supplier partner Unox also having a strong brand presence on its stand.
Catering Projects was founded in 2005 and specialises in the design, supply and installation of bespoke commercial kitchens and bars. Earlier this year it opened an office in Nottingham to supplement its existing site in Chesterfield.
