The Catering Insight Distributor of the Year – Project Management Award, sponsored by Blue Seal, honours the distributor that has excelled in project management and delivered very special kitchen schemes this year.
And suppliers decided that this year that the winner should be Sprint Group, with 30% of the vote.
This year, Sprint Group completed a wide range of projects across different sectors including Flourish Foodhall and Kitchen in Bristol, The Ivy in Exeter, and rolling out a new Burger King format at Parkdean in Porthcawl.
The Pershore-based firm ensured its employees and customers were Covid-safe during the various restrictions and maintained clear lines of communications to its project customers throughout the pandemic.
More recently, Sprint has strengthened its projects team with a new project manager and invested in additional CAD design capability.
MD Simon Carpmael and sales director Ian Bryant stepped onstage to collect the trophy.
Carpmael said: “This is a fantastic award to win. It has been a phenomenal year for us, winning an FEJ Award and then winning this. We have had a fantastic start to the year and hopefully there’s more to come.”
While Bryant added: “Project management is a big thing for us because it is repeat business. I’m a salesperson and anybody can sell but when you deliver and project manage it and you get the repeat business then project management becomes the cornerstone of what we do.”
