Catering Insight Awards 2019 winner: Supplier of the Year, Training & Education

The Catering Insight Supplier of the Year Training & Education accolade, sponsored by CESA, recognised the manufacturer who has invested extensively in education programmes for the benefit of the industry over the past 12 months.

The overwhelming winner, with a massive 53% of the vote, was the First Choice Group.

The company’s training division has developed and grown its manufacturer-specific course ranges, as well continuing to support the industry with catering specific, City and Guilds approved, ACS gas and CCEEC courses by catering engineers to catering engineers.

First Choice invests heavily in its people particularly in the highest possible IT, procurement and all-round customer service skills, as well having CFSP and CIPS qualified members and specific manufacturer-trained experts. Plus its pioneering Managed Learning Programme – Logic Certification – is leading the way for new gas engineers, promoting safety and integrity.

Technical training manager Martin Dagnall picked up the award and said of the win: “It’s great that everyone’s supported us this year, and it’s great that we can continue developing and adding more support to the industry.

“I’d also like to dedicate this to my team, we have great employees.”
