Light equipment innovation was rewarded in this year’s Catering Insight Awards, with the Supplier of the Year: Light Equipment honour.

With a huge 56% of the vote, FEM proved to be the runaway winner.

The supplier once again added a smorgasbord of products to its roster this year, including Hamilton Beach’s CPM800-UK planetary stand mixer, Manitowoc Ice’s Indigo NXT Series modular dice ice cube machine range, San Jamar’s ice scoop alarm monitor and Pujadas Polinorm lids, designed specifically to fit with its allergen-free range of GN pans.

FEM also launched a new website designed to make life easier for its dealers. New features included pay by card, quick order and a spare part finder.

The supplier’s sales manager Martin Shaw collected the award at last night’s ceremony and commented: “The great thing is this award comes every year, and we’ve won it every other year; we’re so proud to be here again and win it again. So thanks to everyone for voting for us. We appreciate the distributors for supporting us.

“It’s been a good but challenging year. Times are hard, but we keep pushing, keep finding new innovative products to take to the marketplace, and that’s what it’s about, bringing innovation to the market.”
