Another new category for this year, the Catering Insight Distributor of the Year – Marketing & Strategy, sponsored by Krupps, honours dealers who have actioned innovative marketing campaigns or devised well thought-out strategies.

It was a close contest, but the Lloyd Catering Equipment edged ahead with 29% of the vote.

The distributor has built a strong strategy over the last few years, including much restructuring and investment.

Maximising efficiency and increasing its client base, the Rotherham-based company has more than doubled its turnover in the last 3 years, with more prospects than ever on the horizon.

The company has been so successful that it has taken on several new members of staff in key roles within the sales, design and service departments, pushing headcount past the 40 mark.

Lloyd’s Jason Cunliffe, Charlie Curran, Wendy Highfield and Simon Lloyd collected the award, with Lloyd remarking: “It caps off a good year for us, there’s a lot of hard work been going on and it’s nice when it’s recognised.”
