With just one day until the Catering Insight Awards 2019, in association with the First Choice Group, we have put together a list of key FAQs that you should know about the gala event.

Where is it held? At the Banking Hall, 14 Cornhill, London, EC3V 3ND.

When is it being held? Tomorrow, Thursday 28 November, starting from 7pm.

Story continues below

How do I get there? The nearest tube station is Bank, on the Central, Northern and Waterloo & City lines. Use exit 4 and it’s less than a minute’s walk. The nearest national rail station is Cannon Street on Southeastern rail, just 5 minutes’ walk away.

What’s the dress code? Strictly black tie – so think tuxedos and ball gowns.

Who’s attending? 220 guests, the cream of the UK catering equipment industry. The event is sold out and strictly guest list only, so if you don’t have a ticket, you won’t be admitted.

So what happens on the night? The evening begins with a 50-minute drinks reception, which includes your opportunity for a ‘red carpet’ photo with industry colleagues. Then the awards ceremony is interspersed with a luxury three-course meal. All drinks all night are included in the ticket price.

What trophies are being presented? 16 awards will be given out, with winners voted for by the UK catering equipment supply chain itself. The full list is:

Where is the official After-Party being held? Celebrations will go on until the early hours at Forge Bar, 24 Cornhill – just two doors down from the main ceremony venue. Catering Insight has reserved the Cage area of the downstairs Club Room. Awards guests will be able to enter for free – and they will be able to pick up free drinks tokens at the main ceremony for use at the After-Party.

I can’t make it to the ceremony, how can I follow the action? Catering Insight will be live-tweeting the winners from its Twitter handle @cateringinsight and using the hashtag #CIAwards19, plus coverage will follow on, the daily e-newsletter and in the January print edition of the magazine.
