Catering Insight Awards 2018 winner: Distributor of the Year, Project Management

C&C Catering Equipment project director Mark Roxburgh collected the trophy from Welbilt UK and Ireland sales director, Steve Hemsil, and Catering Insight editor Clare Nicholls.

The Catering Insight Distributor of the Year, Project Management Award, sponsored by Welbilt, honours the distributor that has excelled in project management and delivered very special kitchen schemes this year.

Just two votes separated first and second place, but suppliers decided that the 2018 winner should be C&C Catering Equipment.

The Chester-based distributor has had another blockbuster year for projects, with the chief among them being an 18-month scheme at London-based L’oscar hotel. The work at the five-star location in Holborn spanned across the main kitchen, two bar areas, two butler pantries and a staff canteen.

Proving it can tackle any size of venue, C&C also recently completed a full turnkey project at The Swan Inn in Marbury, within the distributor’s own county of Cheshire. Earlier in the year, another contract on the Granta Park science estate was its third in the area.

C&C Catering Equipment’s project director Mark Roxburgh picked up the award, commenting: “We are humbled to be honest, there were a lot of good companies in this category and it is nice for us to have been able to show what we can do and get recognised for that.

“We’ve got good project management expertise within our company, but this has come as a bit of a shock really because it is so nice to win.

“It has been a fantastic year and it is onwards and upwards from now. Our projects and our project team and the company in general will be really chuffed.”
