The Catering Insight Supplier of the Year: Service & Support Award honours the supplier best deemed by the industry to be setting the benchmark for after-sales service, support and warranty.
The 2016 winner is First Choice Group, with distributor votes rewarding the company for its number one priority being customer service.
It is therefore no wonder its turnover increases markedly, year on year. In fact, it will be moving into bigger premises next spring, as it has to double its spares capacity.
Its refrigeration division has grown immensely, including the addition of varied delivery options, such as to engineers’ vans. It has also increased the scope of its Combico engineering training division to better support the service departments of its dealer customers.
Picking up the award last night was First Choice’s MD, John Whitehouse, who said: “We’ve done really well as a spares company and it’s great to add something back into the industry – training is a new entity for us and we just want to expand that so we can add something back.”
