Catering equipment suppliers invited to tender as part of £1.6bn NHS contract

The NHS is looking for kitchen infrastructure suppliers for a 4-year contract.

A £1.6bn public sector modular construction framework is seeking suppliers that can provide kitchen infrastructure over a 4-year period.

Contractors have until the end of March to register their interest in the tender, which is being procured by NHS Shared Business Services.

The project, which is divided into eight separate lots, is listed on Contracts Finder, the UK’s version of the Official Journal of the European Union, which outlines contract opportunities in different sectors.

Lot 8 includes modular kitchens for purchase and hire, as well as the provision of temporary catering equipment for hire. The value of the specific lot is not disclosed.

The contract will commence in July this year and run for 4 years.

Suppliers will be awarded on a lot by lot basis according to their own specialisms, such as contract value, sector, purchase, hire and lease.

Suppliers have until 31 March to register their interest.
