Catering Insight’s 2017 Job Satisfaction Survey showed that once again, most salaries in the catering equipment supply chain were on the up.

Nearly two thirds of the almost 100 dealer and supplier respondents (65.48%) reported their salaries had increased over the past year.

Of these, a third saw their wages grow by between 1-2%, another third was between 3-5%, 10% recorded an increase between 6-10%, 15% grew by 11-20% and a lucky 8.33% saw their salaries grow by more than 21%.

A further 16.67% of respondents saw their take-home pay packets grow within the last 2 years.

These results proved to be incredibly similar to the 2016 Catering Insight Salary Survey results, which recorded 66.18% wage increases in the previous year and 16.18% within the prior 2 years.

Of the remainder this year, just 5.95% had not seen their salary grow in the past 3 years. For 9.52% of respondents however, their salaries have not increased for over 3 years.

Just one staff member surveyed saw their salary reduce over the past 12 months.
