Ramsey-based supplier Catering Equipment Professional (CEP) has recorded a 47% sales increase between the end of January and the end of May, compared to the same period last year.
Re-branding from Alpeninox UK in February seems to have worked for the firm, with MD David Jones detailing: “We have seen vastly increased sales activity and an increase in catering equipment distributors moving orders across to their brands.
“After consultation with our distributors we created very special net prices on products that would benefit them on an ongoing basis, with equipment chosen from each of our brands: Cook Professional, Dishwasher Professional and Refrigeration Professional.”
CEP has also restructured its distributor support team, with staff being assigned to focus on key groups of distributors. “Our distributors are advising that the sales increase is due to an easier connection to the company name and the brand’s recognition with the end user,” reported Jones.
Orders have grown the most from distributors that use any form of digital marketing. Jones commented: “All the market research work done prior to the name change has clearly had an effect.
“An increased level of key stock held in our Lichfield based distribution hub, as demanded by distributors, has also helped to increase sales activity – due to customers who want their appliances delivered immediately.”
