Catering Appliance Superstore becomes app pioneer

The new Catering Appliance Superstore app is available for iOS and Android mobile devices.

Kendal-based dealer Catering Appliance Superstore (CAS) has become one of the first dealers in the UK to launch both a dedicated iOS and Android app to order catering equipment and renewables online.

The app is available on tablet and mobile platforms.

The launch comes on the back of web specialist CAS growing its turnover by over £3m this year in the face of an uncertain market.

The dealer offers a large ranges of commercial catering products, from blue roll and cleaning detergent to 20 grid combination ovens. It works closely with many well-known equipment manufacturers, bringing a full range of budget and premium products to its customers.

Marketing director Graham Sowerby said of the app launch: “We have identified tablet devices to be the primary source of our online traffic, and with that in mind we have been hard at work developing an app that will mean the customer is always connected to their CAS account and can purchase goods within seconds, with no need to repeat entering time consuming payment and delivery information.

“We have all witnessed the internet almost completely replace the traditional mail order process. At CAS we now anticipate that a connected app offering great prices, past order history and a one click buying process will be the future. Customers can simply sign into their account once and thousands of products are only a click away.”

He added: “A tablet or mobile device is never far away from us in the modern world and we recognise that busy caterers don’t always have time to sit down at a computer or laptop, and speed of ordering can normally become the priority.

“Over the past decade we have attracted over 100,000 customers and they recognise us as a reliable and trustworthy source of catering goods. We take away the risk of internet scams and phishing attempts and trust that they will remain loyal customers as we continue to invest in products and tools that make their procurement journey simpler.”

As a regular customer I’m confident they don’t just ‘Order from Nisbets’ in fact most items I purchase from them are European made which says a lot as I’m sure 99% of Nisbets stock comes from China!

There will always be parts that need an update when it’s a first release. You have to give these some time to be ironed out.

Its a stand alone company trading under / registered as JJ Martin (Catering Appliance Superstore) Ltd
Registered Company No 8292604. Its a family run business, father, wife and and next generation, son
They have Google Certified Shops accreditation
They are about one of the only internet sellers to advertise a telephone number on thier website
So, Mr Confused.Com they are not owned by Nisbets, though may from time to time buy items from Nisbets just like the majority of users do within this great industry.
I won’t comment about margins they seek to make as that’s their business that I know nothing about
