CaterFix has completed a project for a local Peterborough business which wanted an in-store dining option.

Rose Aggregates, part of family-owned company, Rose Group, supplies aggregates to both the public and trade including the building, civil engineering, quarrying and rail industries.

Dan from Rose Aggregates decided to open a brand new cafe in-store at Rose Landscapes named Rosey Lee.

The construction of the café involved extending the already large showroom, at Rose Landscapes, installing a state of the art kitchen supplied by CaterFix, as well as comfortable a seating area and restrooms.

The distributor worked with Rose to make sure the kitchen equipment was right for the business and the space it had, using CAD drawing to help to maximise the available area.

CaterFix helped to specify both new and reconditioned products from the new chilled display unit to the reconditioned under counter chiller.

Cooking equipment included a Moorwood Vulcan convection oven, a Chefmaster double contact grill, a Rowlett Rutland toaster and a Buffalo pie warmer.

Refrigeration capabilities were provided by a Williams single door undercounter fridge HA135SS and a Foster upright freezer FSL400L, while a Blue Seal under counter SDECPSPD dishwasher will be managing the warewashing.

Lincat supplied a SmartVent modular canopy extraction, and Bellini provided both a white, flat glass chilled display unit and a white table for the till.

Café manager Maggie Osman said: “The front display unit is great, the marble top on the unit and the till table fits with the look of the café and brightens the kitchen area up.”

With the wash area towards the back and the food prep at the front, CaterFix used stainless steel racking to separate the two areas, with a space saving idea of racking for storage as well as a parting wall. Osman concluded: “We had to use the space the best we could, and the racking really helped to do this.”
