Peterborough-based CaterFix has completed its biggest ever project, for the Deeping Caravan Park in Market Deeping, Lincolnshire.
The Young family who run the 12.5-acre park wanted to create the new Ranch Restaurant kitchen and therefore turned to the distributor.
The kitchen design has to allow the restaurant to offer both a quick service bar menu and the luxury holiday homes residents’ daily meal tastes, including a Sunday roast lunch and full evening menu.
Products like a Lincat pizza oven and a Foster prep station fulfilled the quick service requirements, while a Rational 10 grid combi oven helped to ensure a full service menu could be delivered.
Lincat also provided a griddle and fryer, while Foster additionally supplied a display chiller, G2 chiller, G2 freezer and a Gamko barista station.
Other suppliers included Falcon, providing an electric cooker with oven; Roller Grill, which contributed both a RG11-T Dog Machine and a Majestic panini grill; while Moffat supplied a hot cupboard with over shelf; Hobart provided a hood dishwasher; and RH Hall supplied both a popcorn maker and an MI75X2 slush machine.
The front counter design had to complement the rustic look of the centre, as well as allowing the Young family to operate the onsite bowling lanes efficiently.
Darren Young commented: “CaterFix has been known for several years to be an amazing local business. Our good communication and flexibility is one of the reasons why The Deeping Caravan Park chose to work closely with CaterFix.
“We are very pleased with the kitchen and the superb service CaterFix has offered us.”
CaterFix MD Ajaz Akhtar concluded: “We are delighted to have been involved with the Ranch.
“We worked very closely with Darren and Rhys during the design stage to ensure all the various needs of The Caravan Park would be met. We met many times on site, proving that a local business is the best set up to deal with local customers.
“All in all, a very successful project has resulted in a superb kitchen and front counter.”
