Caterer lauds Lainox in wake of Shine project

Dawson’s Lainox equipment has won glowing praise from The Cooperative Academy after a selection of its kit was recently fitted at the Stoke on Trent site by Shine Food Machinery.

A Lainox Heart 20 grid S Spec combi oven and two 6 grid version were put into the kitchen, which manages a catering operation for more than 300 students five days a week.

And the organisation has been delighted with the output and performance that the equipment is achieving.

Head chef Claire Horton says the stacked combis are being used for 90% of all the cooking, roasting, baking and steaming it now does.

“The pre-programmed functions are something we have been experimenting with recently and the results we have been getting are amazing,” she said. “We now have the peace of mind that the results are going to be consistent time and time again which is great for production overall, but also speeds up the entire catering operation on a day-to-day basis.”

As well as the Lainox combis, Dawson also worked with Newport-based Shine to supply a Mareno 6 burner range and a Comenda dishwasher with WP6 heat pump.
