Catercraft sees hotel success with Wolf equipment

The Malmaison Dundee, a new boutique hotel which opened for business in February, has become one of the first venues to adopt Hobart’s updated range of Wolf cooking equipment.

The Wolf range was launched as a dealer-only brand in the UK last year and is currently sold through a limited number of distributors.

The specification of the kit that went into the Malmaison was facilitated by Catercraft Catering Equipment, based in Brighton.

John Woodward, director of food at Malmaison Hotel Group, said: “It is a busy kitchen seven days a week and we have been impressed by the way the Wolf has been able to handle the heavy demands our catering staff are putting on it.

“It is also delivering good energy efficiency, which is important for us, and is a very stylish piece of equipment which adds to the visual appeal of the kitchen environment. It is early days, of course, but all in all, we believe we have made a very good choice with Wolf.”

Hobart offers the Wolf as a 700 and 900 series, with the equipment, which has its origins in the USA, re-engineered for the European market.

Steve Martin, sales director of Hobart Cooking Solutions, says the availability of the range as standalone units or suited units gives it the flexibility to fit into any catering environment.

“The Wolf range will satisfy the requirements of every type and style of busy kitchen,” he said. “As well as being robust and reliable, it has attractive lines making it ideal for theatre style cooking. The range is available in modular, stand-alone cooking units or can be suited in line with the specific needs of any chef.”
